Shares fully with the Field Office Manager in the management of the Field Office, to include both day-to-day and short and long range management and planning activities. As such represents the Field Office Manager at meetings, with full authority to make commitments, and acts with full authority for the Field Office Manager in his absence. Advises to the Field Office Manager on sound management policies and procedures and participates fully in the formulation and implementation of Field Office policy and procedures and in monitoring and evaluating the status and progress of the Field Office programs. Analyzes of the impact of regional and Central Office policy changes or directives on the Field Office operations and in developing specific methods for implementation. Analyzes the effectiveness of the programs, ensuring that established goals are being accomplished, identifying deficiencies and establishing corrective measures. Reviews functional distribution and plans and proposes changes in distribution of functions, workflow, etc. to accomplish the mission of the Field Office. Represents the Field Office Manager in the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with other activities. Participates actively in critical and controversial contacts/negotiations with other GSA activities, tenants, contractors, public groups, and Federal/state/local governmental activities. The GS-13 salary range starts at $104,182.00 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
evaluating policies, implementing programs, and independently making decisions relating to the operation and maintenance of buildings and leased space; analyzing the effectiveness of facility operations, automated systems and equipment; developing and maintaining strong working relationships with customer agencies, lessors, contractors, and client personnel; and managing or monitoring real property budgetary and financial data.
