Senior Asset Manager

As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overall financial management, asset management, portfolio planning and strategy, and general stewardship for assigned real property. Typical tasks may include:
Coordinates real property decisions and projects. Leads feasibility studies and cost analyses related to the acquisition, renovation, alteration, occupancy, utilization and disposal of properties. Participates in strategic decisions and responsible for developing specific plans and building investment decisions. Tracks performance of assigned assets throughout the course of the year and participates in the re-negotiation of targets. Performs on-site technical evaluations of asset performance when required. Performs strategic planning activities such as:
community planning, strategies, market analyses, analysis of investment alternatives, retention/disposal studies and community portfolio plan preparation. Participates in the modernization/major repair and alteration program for assigned real estate assets to update infrastructure elements of buildings planned for long term retention. Supports the Rate Setting Program by ensuring market equivalent rates by appraisal and market analysis. Analyzes expense and revenue data to identify trends and inefficiencies. The GS-13 salary range starts at $111,286(San Francisco), 104,182 (Los Angeles) 102,104 (San Diego) per year.If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in Federal service. Specialized experience includes performing the full range of asset management programs including economic management of owned or leased assets, asset/facility strategic development, and asset performance analysis related to financial management of commercial and/or public real estate programs.
