This position requires an innovative and adaptable person who will uphold the Department's mission, vision, and values by being able to understand the Director's goals, effectively communicating accomplishments and important communications to the Board offices, Departments, other elected officials and the public.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have a passion for the transformative power of parks and programming, as well as a sincere commitment to resolving park inequities and expanding access to all.
The ideal Special Assistant is a true park advocate who strongly supports the promotion of equity, diversity, and inclusivity in Los Angeles County, and will be devoted to creating even greater access to the Department's amenities and facilities in every community.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
