Quality Inspector (Monthly Bonus)

This position is full-time on day shift and includes future eligibility for monthly bonus program; medical, dental, vision and life insurance fully; paid vacation and paid holidays; and other benefits.
Functions Check dimensions against the controlling specification or drawing including visual inspection, gage checks, shippers, traceability, packing and other items.
Reviews job cards (travelers) for completion, job card revisions, in-process inspection marks, print revisions, etc.
Rejects parts following specific review and documentation requirements.
Ensures current inspection specifications are in use.
Contacts appropriate party (e.
g.
, engineering, designer, product manager, etc) for clarification.
Roams production floor whenever possible or as assigned to provide assistance to operators, assemblers and other Glenair production personnel with any issues they may have with product quality.
Interfaces with other Glenair employees including those in production, engineering, and operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
MS Office (Word, Excel) skills.
Working knowledge of blueprint related skills including tolerances, plating allowances, revisions and revision control, and threading practices.
Experience with inspection tools including thread gages, block and gage pins, comparator, drop gages, micrometers, and Vernier calipers.
Required documentation skills include Statistical Process Control (SPC) data collection, purchasing documentation, rejection record/RMA-Return practices, lot traceability review, and the ability to understand a job card.
